Looking Back at Our Fourth Network Meeting in Leiden:
Last November, we gathered for our fourth in-person network meeting in the beautiful city of Leiden, Netherlands. These meetings are always a highlight, an opportunity to reconnect, share progress, and celebrate the incredible work happening across the network.
Our scientific sessions took place in the historic Leiden Academiegebouw, a building that has stood since 1516. Sitting in such a storied venue, surrounded by ongoing PhD defenses, was a powerful reminder of how far science has come and of the journeys we are all on as researchers.
The presentations did not disappoint. As with previous meetings, we explored a wide range of topics. From Advances in MRI techniques, Challenges in developing disease models that truly mimic pathology, and Creative brainstorming sessions for new experiments and ideas.
Beyond the science, the meeting offered time to pause and reflect. The planning team curated memorable experiences, from a windmill tour and a stroll through the Hortus Botanicus, a cooking class or relaxing group drawing, to a lively karaoke night, which might just become a tradition!
Below are a few snapshots from the event. We’re already looking forward to our next meeting in New Haven, Connecticut, and to seeing how everyone’s projects continue to evolve.
