Orla Bonnar, a Leducq fellow from Dr Susanne van Veluw's lab in Boston, was recently the first ECI to take part in the Leducq scholar exchange. She spent 6 weeks in Dr Andy Shih's lab in Seattle, enjoying the wonderful science and beautiful nature Washington has to offer. She worked closely with fellow Leducq member Stephanie Bonney and was able to get hands on experience in learning new surgical skills and advanced optical imaging techniques.  Many thanks to Andy, Stephanie and the rest of the Seattle team for hosting Orla and making sure she had a fantastic time!
